Chances are, you’re using Squarespace to build your website. Well, Squarespace is a good website builder for those who have no idea how to code. It’s an all-in-one website builder that creates stunning and beautiful websites through templates. The usual business owners that are building websites in Squarespace are the ones that want to sell their physical products and e-commerce, rather than digital products, coaching, or courses.

But making your website stunning isn’t the only thing you should be mindful about if you want your website to get some traffic.

Your website is your way of saying “Yep, I’m a legit business, and what you need is right here.” Which is why it’s incredibly important for businesses to put effort into making a website that is fast, easy to navigate, and appealing to look at. If the website feels off, too slow, or unappealing, then this will discourage potential customers. All this sounds a bit overwhelming, right? Not to worry though, we’ll help you make your website performance better!

Making Your Website Better

Your website is your own virtual business stand. So naturally, your website needs to look and feel the best that it can be if you want to attract potential customers. However, since trends in the digital world come and go fast, you definitely need to update your website every so often.

Make it Smooth and Fast

It’s very important for a website to be optimized for speed. Any hiccups, glitches, and slow loading speeds would automatically affect the website negatively. People won’t want to stay at a website that takes too long to load. Worst of all, it’ll definitely lead to bad reviews.

Make it Viewable on Mobile

Not everyone is going to be viewing your website on their laptops. Your website also needs to be integrated and easily viewable on mobile phones for people on-the-go. This means that it has to look good, and feel good even on a smartphone. Or else it’ll lead to negative reviews. Yikes!

Always Make Your Content Fresh

If it’s thanksgiving, you can update your website to have a Thanksgiving theme. You can also put a limited-time discount for certain products on certain holidays. Just make sure you take it down once the holiday is done though.

Update the Design

You can already probably tell which design looks too outdated. Just like comparing an old iPhone 4 homepage design to the current iPhone 14 pro max or iPhone 14 plus (or whatever they call their flagships these days). A modern design will always be appealing to people. Make sure to regularly update this corresponding to the latest trends in website design.

Add Images or Video

Your website shouldn’t be like a book that has no images. If your webpage has too many words, bigger than one paragraph, then it’s time you add some images or videos to the mix that match with the text. Hire a videographer/professional photographer if you’re having a hard time getting some headshots or product shoots to market your business.

Videos are also excellent. You can put a video of you welcoming visitors to your website. The possibilities are endless!

Use Calls to Action

Calls to action are always going to be what pops out of the website and what catches your eyes the most. It’s important to consider the words you choose as a call to action. These words have to excite the user into doing something other than just scrolling through the website. CTA’s such as “Work with us now!” or “Buy now!” will work.
